Linkage provides support, information, advocacy, navigation and community engagement services for family/whānau, as well as friends of people who experience challenges due to problems with their mental health and/or addiction.
We offer one-to-one support, and facilitate support groups, to help you connect with other people who are sharing a similar journey.
We can also help you to understand your family/whānau’s experience with information and support when you need it.
Our team has first-hand experience, and can connect you and your family/whānau with the right services to help build confidence, stability and resilience.
Family/whānau support is currently only available for people living in the Lakes district (Rotorua, Taupo, Turangi and Mangakino). If you live outside the Lakes area and would like to find out more about how Linkage may be able to support you, please call us on 0800 932 432.
We know effective communication ensures confident journeys so Linkage makes sure the unique perspective of family/whānau and people who access services is integrated with the ways people working for the Lakes District Health Board deliver mental health and addiction services.
We do this by contributing to strategic planning processes, policy and service development across the Lakes district in a variety of ways such as:
